Amniotic Banding

My name is Lindsay Bock, and 6 months ago I gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby girl named Aiden Jade.  Unfortunately, she was born with ABS.  She's only 6 months old now and has already had one surgery on all four extremities.  She had sever banding around her right calf and a partial band around her right ankle.  She only has 3 partial fingers on her left hand, she has webbed toes on her left foot and partial amputation of her fingers on her right hand.  All of these were corrected in plastic surgery at New Orleans Children's Hospital, performed by plastic surgeon Dr. John Lindsey.

Now at almost 7 months old she is due to have her second surgery to correct her right club foot.  After the surgery being postponed once, the surgery was finally performed a month later.  She went through many castings and braces, but we're very fortunate that doctors can do something about these deformities.  I thank God everyday for my beautiful baby.  After all, it could have been worse.
