Emma was born on February 6, 1996, 4:10 a.m. weighing 7 lb, 2 oz.

Just before her surgery at 3-1/2 months on May 17...

...and immediately afterwards! You can see the lip repair, plus some extra stitches put into the nostrils in an attempt to shape the nasal cartilage (which was not really expected to work and didn't, but the PS said if it did work it might save her a rhinoplasty).

5 weeks after the surgery.

Emma sports her custom made ear plugs during a bath. These are necessary now her ear tubes have been inserted. They used to come in fluorescent colours but Emma could only have boring old skin-tone!

Here Emma is wired up for her second auditory-evoked brainstem response hearing test (age 8 1/2 months). She had to be asleep for the test so we deliberately deprived her of sleep and food until after she was wired up. Then after she had a bottle she went fast asleep, ready for the test. Her hearing came out normal - YAY!
