Once again a celebrity this photo appeared recently in our local newspaper of Lara and her dad reading together.
Lara has been doing great in her speech. She can make all her sounds for her age level and has quite a vocabulary to match her wonderful imagination. She recently had another ear tube put in to relieve some ongoing infection and has cleared up and she is hearing normal ranges again. |

Lara (age 9) on Dec.23 after bone graft surgery with Lippy's cousin Tomas who came to live with us. Lara was home by the evening of Dec. 24. The surgery went great and Lara had gotten up to move around right away. She did loose some weight on the liquid diet but gained it all back. Her surgeon said at the last post op visit, "have a nice life" he thought it went so well he doesn't think she will need anymore cleft related surgeries with him. Hope that is true.
